Introduction to Cameron Compressors
The CAMERON compressor brand was formerly known as JOY. Founded in 1955, JOY specializes in centrifugal gas compressors, with over 50 years of industrial history. Building on the American Joy Compressor Company foundation, Cooper Compression Systems continued innovation in centrifugal compression technology.
Since producing its first centrifugal compressor in 1956, Cooper compressors have been installed worldwide, from Alaska to Middle Eastern deserts. The product range covers 14 m3/min to 5000 m3/min and pressure from 1 Bar to 85 Bar, including air, process gases and exhaust gases. Systems are designed for long-term continuous operation, energy efficiency, easy operation and maintenance.

Intercooler Structure

The intercooler is mounted on compressor housing, with casing support from the housing structure.

A removable water tubing bundle enables mechanical cleaning, and inlet/outlet water connections can be removed externally.

Air flows outside finned tubes while water flows inside; all components are tested at 1.5 times operating pressure and manufactured to ASME standards.
