Boiler Blowdown Tanks
Boiler blowdown tanks are essential components of steam heating systems. When water is converted to steam, impurities dissolve and accumulate as solids in the boiler. If left unaddressed, these impurities can cause significant damage to the system.
Function:
Blowdown tanks capture and store the steam and water discharged from the boiler, effectively removing particles and impurities. The tank provides a controlled vessel for the discharged steam and water to cool and separate before the vent, outlet and drain arrangement handles the discharge.
By incorporating a boiler blowdown tank, you can prevent the buildup of solids and protect your steam boiler from potential damage.
