Aftercoolers used in Atlas Copco ZR450–ZR750 oil-free screw compressors are installed at the discharge side to reduce compressed air temperature before downstream processing. Stable aftercooling supports moisture control and protects air treatment equipment in continuous-duty industrial operation. Over extended service intervals, thermal cycling and internal fouling can reduce heat exchange efficiency, leading to higher discharge temperatures. From a replacement and service perspective, aftercooler replacement is commonly scheduled during major compressor maintenance to restore original cooling performance. Compatibility with the existing compressor layout and operating pressure range is prioritized to ensure reliable long-term operation.
